The children were read a short narrative that describes excessive gender stereotypes with “themes of male –and female- ‘preferred’ imagery” which is Alyssa’s story (p.43). The children were asked to draw an image of what they liked the best from the story with the provided art materials: pencil, markers, and 8”x11” paper.
